• Here’s a half chorus or so of fingerstyle inspired by the opening chord progression of the standard tune “Sugar.”  The idea was some countermelody and a few passing chords added.  Fingerings are suggested, with the string indicated as a number in parenthesis.

  Measure 4, beats 3 and 4, Ab-7 Db7 in place of Abdim7.

  Measure 6, Ab-7 Db7 G-7 C7 in place of G-7 C7.

  Turnaround in measures 7, 8 has quick modulation to Gb, and back to F.
